Brussels, October 7, 2025 — CaetanoBus revealed its full new generation of zero-emission city buses at Busworld 2025 (Hall 6, Booth 605A), showcasing a modular platform available in 8.5-meter, 12-meter, and 18-meter configurations and engineered for both battery-electric and hydrogen fuel cell drivelines.

The line-up on stand includes the CAETANO e.CityGold 8.5m, CAETANO e.CityGold 12m, and the CAETANO H2.CityGold 18m (BRT versio), featuring a high-capacity layout with doors on both sides to enable rapid passenger flow on segregated corridors.

CaetanoBus is also presenting its EMaaS (Energy & Mobility as a Service) model offer at BusWorld. More than supplying zero-emission buses, EMaaS delivers an integrated solution that combines energy infrastructure, buses, smart fleet management and end-to-end maintenance — all under a single contract. This innovative pay-per-use model allows cities and operators to accelerate decarbonization, reduce upfront investment, and ensure long-term operational efficiency. With EMaaS, CaetanoBus is reshaping mobility by offering not just buses, but a complete ecosystem that makes zero-emission transport financially and operationally viable.

A key highlight of the new generation of CAETANO buses is the integration of advanced components and technologies from CRRC, the world’s largest manufacturer of rolling stock. This collaboration brings global engineering excellence and innovation into every CAETANO vehicle.

At the heart of the hydrogen-powered buses remains TOYOTA’s Fuel Cell Stack (Gen 2.5), delivering outstanding efficiency and durability. Complemented by CATL batteries, this system ensures optimal performance even in demanding conditions.

Both the electric and hydrogen ranges benefit from CRRC’s innovative platform, powertrain and 6-in-1 inverter system, which integrates multiple key functions into a single compact unit. This reduces weight, enhances reliability, and improves overall vehicle efficiency — meeting the highest standards of modern urban mobility.

CaetanoBus also presented its new structured after-sales service program with multiple contract options tailored to the technical capabilities of each operator. Solutions range from full-service contracts for customers without maintenance capacity, to spare parts supply agreements for operators with established workshops. Specialized contracts also cover preventive maintenance and advanced support for high-voltage and hydrogen systems, ensuring compliance with evolving technologies. Backed by a European-wide partner network and robust logistics for parts availability, these service models are designed to maximize vehicle uptime, optimize lifecycle costs, and support operators with scalable technical solutions.

In addition to the launch of this new generation of zero-emission urban buses, CaetanoBus also unveiled at Busworld the battery electric coach, featuring a SCANIA chassis and CAETANO bodywork, marking another milestone in the company’s journey toward sustainable mobility across all transport segments.
