Start up of business using wood as raw material in the coach and bus body building.

Salvador Caetano introduces in Portugal the use of steel in coach and bus body manufacturing.

The new plant in Gaia starts its activity.

Gaia plant is certified for its QUALITY SYSTEM in accordance with the European regulation NP EN 29002:1988 (5th certificate and 1st in the automotive sector in Portugal).

CAETANOBUS begins exporting CKD kits for the new plant of Salvador Caetano Industry in China - Brilliance Caetano.

Launch of E.COBUS - the first 100% electric bus for exclusive use at airports. The project known internally as Diesel to Electric Upgrade consists of the conversion of used diesel buses in new fully electric vehicles;
CaetanoBus has secured a contract to deliver 20 Lion's City Midi units to Gibraltar.

CaetanoBus wins the Inovação NOS award - Big Companies category, with the e.COBUS business model; Delivery of 6 e.COBUS to the Stuttgart Airport; Development of a Double Decker Bus to the premium tourism segment; Launch of the new COBUS 3002; Launch of the new minibus iTRABUS S33; Delivery of 127 MAN Lion´s City Midi to the Bahrain; Certification OHSAS 18001:2007 / NP 4397:2008.
